<div>La comunidad trans, así como personas activistas y defensoras de derechos humanos pedimos el apoyo de la comunidad internacional, en el marco de la <strong>Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026</strong>, debido a la persecución judicial que el Gobierno de México, el de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, emprende contra Razzia Santillán, mujer trans activista quien podría ser <strong>encarcelada tras dos años de mantener una protesta</strong> dentro de la institución pública donde se le sacó a rastras del baño de mujeres con violencia policiaca el 12 de septiembre de 2023, la <strong>Cineteca Nacional de México</strong>, sencillamente por ser una mujer trans.

<div>A razzia, se le exige el pago inmediato de 200 mil pesos mexicanos (aproximadamente 12 mil USD) por daños materiales que ocurrieron en el contexto de sus protestas, un mero intento del Estado de criminalizarla tanto a ella como al Clan Mariposas negras, un colectivo conformado por personas trans y no binarias, migrantes, trabajadoras sexuales y discapacitadas, con quienes ocupa el pasillo central de la Cineteca Nacional de jueves a domingo.

<div>Uno de los motivos de tal persecución es la limpieza social que ha detonado el Mundial 2026 en México, un proceso político y económico que está desplazando a toda clase de comunidades en resistencia.

<div>De ser vinculada a proceso, tras el juicio que el gobierno mexicano ha amagado con iniciar, su privación de la libertad sería un grave golpe para el movimiento trans y la defensa de los derechos humanos en México en un momento en que los discursos de odio crecen a escala mundial contra toda minoría.

<div>Por fortuna, aún estamos a tiempo de defender a Razzia de la batalla legal que ya ha iniciado, misma que ha costeado por su cuenta, de ahí la razón de esta campaña, para no dejarle sola a la par que seguimos metiendo presión al Gobierno de México manteniendo activa la protesta que Clan Mariposas Negras lleva en la Cineteca Nacional.

<div>The trans community, as well as activists and human rights defenders, are calling for the support of the international community in the context of the <strong>2026 FIFA World Cup</strong>, due to the judicial persecution that the Mexican government, under President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, is undertaking against Razzia Santillán, a trans activist who faces <strong>imprisonment after two years of protesting</strong> inside the public institution where she was dragged out of the women's restroom with police violence on September 12, 2023, T<strong>he National Cinema, </strong>simply for being a trans woman.

<div>Razzia is being demanded to immediately pay <strong>200,000 Mexican pesos</strong> (approximately 12,000 USD) for material damages that occurred in the context of her protests. This is a mere attempt by the State to criminalize her and the Mariposas Negras Clan, a collective made up of trans and non-binary people, migrants, sex workers, and people with disabilities, with whom she occupies the central corridor of <strong>The National Cinema</strong> from Thursday to Sunday.

<div>One of the reasons for such persecution is the <strong>social cleansing </strong>triggered by the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, a political and economic process that is displacing all kinds of communities in resistance.

<div>If she is charged, following the trial that the Mexican government has threatened to initiate, her deprivation of liberty would be a serious blow to the trans movement and the defense of human rights in Mexico at a time when hate speech against all minorities is on the rise worldwide.

<div>Fortunately, we still have time to defend Razzia from the legal battle she has already initiated, which she has financed herself. Hence the reason for this campaign: to not leave her alone while we continue to pressure the Mexican government by keeping the protest that Clan Mariposas Negras is holding at the Cineteca Nacional active.
