<div>I’m currently facing eviction from the apartment I’ve called home for the last 27 years. This is more than just a place to live — it’s the only stability I’ve known for nearly three decades. Every memory, every piece of my life, is tied to this place. Now, I’m on the verge of losing it, and I’m scared.

<div>Over the past several months, I’ve done everything in my power to keep a roof over my head. I’ve reached out to local social services, applied for rental assistance programs, and tried every avenue the state offers. But I’ve been turned away again and again. The systems that are supposed to catch people when they fall have left me feeling invisible and defeated.

<div>I live on a fixed income through Social Security, and I am disabled. I wish I could work, but after suffering two strokes, it’s no longer physically possible for me. My mobility is limited, and some days are harder than others. Still, I’ve tried to stay hopeful — to push forward and take care of myself the best I can.

<div>To make matters worse, I’ve recently suffered devastating personal losses. My beloved mother passed away, and not long after, I lost my son. These tragedies have shaken me to my core. I wake up each day with a broken heart, trying to keep going despite the grief and the uncertainty that surrounds me.

<div>Now, on top of everything, I’m being told I have to leave my home. I have nowhere else to go. No one should have to face eviction — especially not while grieving, disabled, and without support. I feel like my life is spiraling beyond my control, and I don’t know where to turn next. That’s why I’m humbly asking for help.

<div>I know times are hard for many people right now, and asking for help is not easy. But anything — truly anything — that you can give would make a difference. Whether it’s a small donation, sharing this message, or pointing me toward resources I may not have found, it all helps more than you can imagine.
