Help Mandy Win the Fight

Lat year Mandy was diagnosed with Leukemia. After a year of treatment and many trips to the ER, she was told she had achieved what previously seemed impossible: remission!
However, this hope was short lived. The Leukemia returned a few months ago and is more aggressive and more difficult to treat than before. Currently, Mandy is living off transfusions as she waits for insurance to approve new medicines and waits to see if her remission returns and holds long enough for her to receive the new medicines. And from there, the plan is a bone marrow transplant.
Mandy has a long road ahead of her treatment wise and will not be able to work for at least one year. So, she really needs us- her community of friends and family to step up and help her to WIN THIS FIGHT.
As a self-employed piano teacher, musician and graphic designer, Mandy has given tirelessly to others in celebration of music and the arts. However, this also means that she is not eligible for state disability. So, being out of work all last year and at least a year to go in treatment means that the best help we can give Mandy is help with
-living expenses
-medical bills
-healthy food and supplements
-assistance to pursue alternative therapies in conjunction with her physicians.
-travel expenses for family to care for her when she needs it.
Mandy also needs time to rebuild her life once treatment is complete.
We are raising funds now as Mandy has depleted her savings and our financial assistance will make an immediate difference- both in real terms of creating a safety net but also in reducing stress so that Mandy can focus on doing what she needs to: fighting and healing.
So, please help. I have known Mandy since we were 18 and I know how tenacious, courageous and brave Mandy has been her whole life and how hard she has already fought this past year.
