Lost my home and all my belongings- my art studio, my art collection, photography, paintings, editions and books that I've accumulated over the years, my cameras and harddrivess, favorite keepsakes and my car...
I am reaching out to my communities in the arts, dance, friends I've made through my shop and everywhere that I've lived, in this time of emergency.
It's been a traumatic experience evacuating, the blazing fire, the hazardous smoke, and losing everything. I want to thank all the people who have come forward to support me during one of the biggest challenges of my life.
This fund is to help me rebuild, pay off debts from the fire, pay for alternative medical resources like somatic therapy and to pay for my car loss. I don't think I can have a normal life for a bit. I would like a little buffer of time to heal from this intense, surreal experience. I want to thank everyone from my friends to complete strangers who are donating. I am moved daily, moment to moment from tears of trauma and sadness to tears of altruism inspired by the love everyone has shown stepping up right now. It means the world to me, since I have to start from ground zero.
I was on Koenigstein in Santa Paula / Upper Ojai. An artist, curator and shop owner building community. I won't be able to get back my stuff, but I hope to regain my hope and spirit. I'm exhausted and saddened but trying to keep on'.... my spine recently unfused at the neck and froze, and my adrenal glands are exhausted. I feel 99 and can't wait to take a much needed break.
Sorry for the bad phone photo. That's what's left of our house, a chimney. I can't really go into personal details because everything is so up in the air right now and will take time.. so, my friend recommended I start this donation page for immediate funds. I literally have my phone and ID, and a car loaned to me. Thanks to everyone out there for pitching in.
