Everyday Supplies for Orphan Children in Uganda

Our organization is called Home of Hope Children Centre under registered name
GRM. GRM was founded and registered as a non‐profit community‐based
organization in Uganda in 2015. It was established with a mandate to help and
support disadvantaged children, sustain livelihoods and human rights for the most
vulnerable members of the community. The vulnerable children may be
orphaned, neglected, school dropouts, abandoned or simply living in a cute
poverty and are frequently affected by the ravages of HIV/AIDS. We care and
support orphans and other vulnerable children. We are responsible for sending all
the children to school. In addition, we give them medical support, feeding, take
care of the clothing and bedding and offer psycho social support to these
children. However, the support that we get per month is not enough to cater for
all the above and other administrative costs. The education costs in Uganda and
supply costs increase yearly and yet also our children are growing and going to
their next level of class and the higher they go the more expensive it becomes to
maintain them in school and living to meet their needs.

COMMUNITY OUTREACHES; our influence and love towards the community is
continuously expressed by or involvement and our desire to impact, sensitize and
empower the community. We have embarked on projects to distribute sanitary
pads, books, pens and pencils to unfortunate children who have the desire to
study and yet have been limited by the inability to access the necessary resources
that they can use to stay in school. We also engaged in empowering the widows
and hardworking but limited women groups through offering them startup
projects to help themselves ride poverty. This was also accompanied by several
financial sensitization crusades and seminars where we invited great speakers to
inspire our community in working harder. Among the guest speaker was our
Honorable Chairperson of community area, who endorsed and appreciated these
great efforts to alleviate the community's poverty situation.

Introduction:
In our Organization number of orphans, vulnerable children, widows and youth
are found. The problem of Orphan, vulnerable, needy children and widows is due
to deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, family breakups due to domestic
violence, unwanted pregnancy (sexually exploited girls). These orphans are left
without care and support. Therefore, we work hard to find social economical,
health, education support and protection.
OUR MISSION:
Lobbying for the orphan, vulnerable, widows and youth social economical
materials, providing care, support and protection through food, education
supplies, Bibles, cloths, beds, is our mission.
Project objectives:
‐ To establish churches in the rural communities besides hospitals and
orphanages
‐ To establish model orphanage schools, Bible colleges, technical training
centers and other tertiary and higher educational institutions
‐ To make Christ known to children, youth and widows
‐ To provide orphans, vulnerable children a childhood that they never
experienced and help them to become useful members of the society.
‐ To encourage the orphans, vulnerable children to use their inner potential
by providing creative opportunities.
‐ To provide a secure place where orphans, vulnerable children can play and
enjoy their childhood.
‐ To provide basic education to orphans, vulnerable children.
‐ To keep families together by providing human relief hence basic needs.
‐ To provide creative and income generating skills to widows and youths to
sustain their wellbeing
