Mark Melnick is a life-long professional artist delighting us with his talent, creativity and dedication to his passion for creating art. With paint and brush, Mark captures the beauty he sees in the natural world and invites us into the worlds of his imagination.

Only 60 years old and at the peak of health, Mark was felled by a near-fatal stroke in October of 2018.
Mark is working hard to recover from his stroke, but he faces enormous health-related expenses in the coming years: extensive speech and physical therapy to recover his speech and function of his right arm and leg (Mark is right handed.) He faces enormous costs to make his home livable with his current disabilities: installation of entry ramps, grab bars and medical equipment. Most likely some in-home care will be required. Household and living expenses must be covered during Mark’s recovery.
As a professional artist and muralist, Mark’s income and livelihood depends on his ability to design and paint the large-scale artwork for which he is well known.
The ultimate goal of this fundraiser is to enable Mark to return to work as an artist by funding his therapy and living expenses while he recovers.

Mark Melnick has lived and worked in Las Vegas since 2000. Locals will be familiar with his high profile public art projects. He has painted murals for Clark County School District & The City of Las Vegas, as well as hundreds of commercial and residential commissions.

Plein Air Landscape Painter
Mark has been a landscape painter for over 25 years and has traveled throughout the Southwest to paint some of the most dramatic landscapes in the U.S. His favorite subject is the Grand Canyon. Mark is also an avid hiker and backpacker who has hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon from both the North and South rim numerous times.
