Everviolet is a beautiful lingerie and loungewear collection nurturing the changes in a woman's body following treatment from breast cancer.

The collection was born out of my own diagnosis with breast cancer at age 40. After undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstruction, I was shocked to discover one of the greatest challenges was finding comfortable and attractive garments to wear throughout the healing process. After six months and over 200 bras, I began talking to other patients and survivors about their experiences and realized I was not alone.

After conducting a year of psychographic and market research across the US, I found the disconnect between fit, comfort and beauty in the lingerie industry to be not only universal, but a constant point of differentiation between feeling like a patient and a person -- a barrier to psychological and emotional healing. One year later, Everviolet was born out of the resolution to offer women a different answer to this intimate question.

The inaugural Everviolet collection contains bras, panties, camisoles and loungewear to escort a woman through all stages of healing from breast cancer. Made in the USA with the health of individuals and the planet in mind, garments are made with ultra luxe, sustainable fabrications and designed to avoid pain points, incisions, port and radiation sites, and lymphedema. All packaging and collateral are created using recycled materials, and a percentage of revenue will be donated to leading breast cancer prevention researcher Laura Esserman of UCSF.

Due to launch online in just a couple of weeks, I am seeking funds to best position our brand for growth. These funds will go towards:
~ 2 key hires to include Digital Marketing/Media and Finance/Operations. Both candidates have been identified, are currently working without pay in support of the mission, and are ready to come on board full time as soon as funds are secured.
~ Marketing/PR -- digital, print and grassroots events
~ 2nd Production Run -- We've only had garments in stock for 2 weeks, and they are selling fast!
~ Development of additional styles

Everviolet is a for-profit company looking to raise seed-stage capital. I have bootstrapped this business from the start, determined to prove the concept before accepting funds from others. After a hugely successful wear-testing trial, pre-sales from hospitals and medical practitioners, and a tremendous following on social media, I am now looking for capital to grow Everviolet into the first of its kind lifestyle apparel brand for healing. With both diagnoses and survivorship on the rise, there is an increased need for garments to accommodate all stages of recovery.
