Sandy Everson needs your help!
Donation protected
Sandy has cancer and her kidneys have failed.
On January 22, 2018, Sandy Everson was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells in blood. The antibody made by myeloma cells can harm the kidneys, even cause kidney failure, which is exactly what happened. Sandy will not only be treating cancer, but also she'll be on dialysis three times a week for the rest of her life.
Treatment includes chemotherapy and dialysis.
Sandy is receiving chemotherapy to contain the cancer, and she will be on dialysis three times per week for the rest of her life. In addition, a kidney transplant is not an option while she has cancer.
Medicaid does not cover the medical bills or travel expenses required for treating cancer and providing dialysis.
Sandy and her husband Bob have Medicare, which only covers a portion of the medical bills. After just one weekend in the Billing's Deaconess Hospital, they already owe more than $10,000 after Medicaid coverage. This amount doesn't cover the ongoing treatment for ongoing medical expenses.
Your donation will be used to cover medical and travel expenses.
Bob and Sandy were just getting ready to enjoy retirement, and now, their savings won't even begin to cover expenses so we are asking you — family, friends, neighbors, colleagues — to help by making donations. All of your donations will be used specifically for these immediate expenses.
