Everett’s Intensive Therapy and Tricycle Fund

Hi everyone! My name is Christin and I am fundraising for my sweet friend Everett and his wonderful parents. This family has had to endure WAY more than anyone should. Mr. Everett was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms and had brain surgery last year. This family is SO DESERVING of any help they can get to fund the intensive therapy they will be putting him in; and Everett is super deserving of a tricycle he can ride.

They say it takes a village to raise a child and over the past 3 years, we have been blessed to have a truly amazing village. 

Our lives took a very different trajectory that we ever dreamed they would about 2 years ago when Everett was diagnosed with epilepsy and then again last year when we said yes to a rare and radical brain surgery that would be our best shot at freeing him from the clutches of catastrophic epilepsy. Because of that surgery, various therapies and medical equipment have now become a part of our daily lives. 

We are planning to take him to the world famous NAPA Center in LA next year for a 3 week therapy intensive to hopefully continue to help him overcome the physical and speech deficits that came along with his diagnosis and surgery. Unfortunately, these types of intensive therapies are very expensive and not typically covered by insurance. 

We are also hoping to get Everett and custom adaptive tricycle similar to the one he was able to ride while he was at CHLA for his inpatient rehab. Because of his right sided deficits he is unable to ride a typical tricycle and we want him to be able to enjoy outdoor activities just like all his friends. Again, as we are learning, things like this are not covered by insurance and are also rather expensive.
