Everett’s Mt Everest Memorial & Cancer Fight Fund

This morning, 2.5 year old Everett Neilson completed his journey after battling Neuroblastoma for the last two years. His final days were spent with his new baby brother that is 6 days old, and his family in Seattle Children's Hospital.
Everett showed grit and determination throughout the last two years as he dealt with his own Mt Everest. Thousands of people have showed their support, following his journey on Facebook and throughout the community. It's now time to come together and show your support one more time by helping this struggling family.
Over the last two years, Everett's father Peter, a school teacher, has been the sole provider of this family of 5. Because of the constant need for travel to Seattle and Portland (over 4 hours away from their home base in Pasco), Everett's mother Kira was forced to put her Nursing career on hold to become a full-time caretaker to Everett.
As you can imagine, this has been a HUGE financial burden to the family. The travel, hotel stays, medical bills, emergency flights, and displaced years of work have been more than what one family should have to deal with on their own. Both Kira and Peter are a light to their communities and families and are well deserving of any help that you can provide.
I am a close friend of Peter and Kira's and know that they would never ask for any help, but this is a time when we can come together as a community and do for them what we would hope that others would do for us if we were in a similar position.
Money donated will go directly to benefit the Neilson Family with funeral, medical, and living expenses.
