<div>Earlier today after a visit to the Stony Brook emergency room Ruby’s little brother Everett (Buddy) was admitted to Columbia’s cardiac PICU. One room over from where Ruby lived when she was sick.
</div>

<div>Never in a million years did we think our happy healthy boy would be where his sister was almost two years ago. He has an enlarged heart (cardiomyopathy), same as Ruby had.
</div>

<div>It is unknown what the outcome of his illness will be but we are really hoping he can come home without a heart transplant. It is too early to tell.
</div>

<div>He is intubated and sedated. He is on a lot of medication but hopefully the rest and medication will help.
</div>

<div>We are thankful to be in the best hands here at NYP. We are also thankful for the quick response of the ER team at Stony Brook.
</div>

<div>This is the way we updated people when Ruby was sick so we will do the same with Buddy (big boy little man).
</div>
