I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride (C2K) and wanted to support them by raising money.
C2K supports the BUSHkids, helping children in remote Australian communities have more opportunities. I will be doing the charity ride in July.
BUSHkids is a not-for-profit organisation which has been supporting the health and wellbeing of children and families in Queensland’s regional, rural and remote communities for over 80 years.
They specifically aim to help disadvantaged children who are at risk of poor health, educational or social outcomes, reach their full potential.
So to help raise awareness I am going to attempt an Everesting challenge on my bike. This involves riding up only one chosen accent to reach the height of Everest 8,848m. I have not chosen my mountain yet, but I will be doing the challenge on the 2nd of June. It will probably take around 20hrs and be around 300-400km (depending on the hill of choice!)
I would love your support for the Bush kids and to help me get over this small feat and to get to Cairns for the charity ride in July!
Any help would be appreciated, nothing is too small.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
