Everest with a cause

Donation protected
One in five australians are affected by mental illness each year. unfortunately, such illnesses can be overwhelming, crippling and isolating.  This topic really impacts me, having dealt with it personally. I have come across numerous people who just need that push for assistance but yet don't reach out for help. I'm seeking donations to help battle mental illnesses such as PTSD, depression and anxiety.

This is why my father and I have decided to climb Mount Everest base camp to bring awareness to such a debilitating disease. On april 26th 2018 we will start our climb for awareness. Those who are aware of my journey know that i have been injured in a workplace incident 12 months ago undergoing several surgeries and injections to rectify my injury. I am left with a physical disability but it wont stop me from counting my blessings and knowing that there are so many people less fortunate than i am.  54% of people in Australia are battling mental illness, and do not seek treatment. I am hoping this is a small step to raise awareness, break the stigma and encourage people to seek help.

Donations will be made as a collective to non for profit charities to shine the light on mental illness.

Special mention
I cannot express how proud and thankful I am of everyone supporting me in my journey to recovery. Without those people I wouldn't be able to walk the journey alone. Everyday is a blessing. To my long friend who tragically passed away last year this is for you Joel.
