Everest stair challenge

Hi, my name is Matthew Doran. I'm trying to complete my scout challenge badge.

I have decided to climb the stairs at the Mounts fire station . To go from the ground floor to the roof is about 12 flights and is about 20 meters in height, up and down takes about 2 minutes.

I aim to go up and down 442 times which will be the equivalent of walking up and down Everest.

I am trying to raise funds for my local scout group the 34th to enable us to buy vital equipment that is needed for the group and also my local rugby team who I play for The Boys Brigade own Boys (BBOB). We are going on tour to Yarmouth and all money raised will enable as many boys to go as possible.

If I manage to hit my target amount my dad has also promised to give £100 to the Firefighters charity.

please donate if you can, this challenge is likely to take me a couple of months but it’s important for me to complete this as I would like to give back to two very important groups that have enabled me to make good friends, given me skills for life and helped me through the lockdown when it happened.
