Evelyn's medical care

Evelyn's recent hospital visit revealed a large infection of the mastoid bone at the base of her skull behind her ear. They discovered a blood clot blocking the right jugular vein that was surrounded by the infection. 

She's been in the hospital 7 days and had many scans and ultimately a surgery to drill and scrape out her bone. She will be sent home with a PICC line and IV antibiotics for 4 to 6 weeks. Evelyn will also need blood thinner injections every 12 hours to treat her blood clot, for 3 to 6 months.

These are life saving and necessary things, but her first week of antibiotic and home care alone is $972. We recieved a grant for the first week, but there's obviously more to come.
