Eve Royffe Surgery

Donation protected
In 2002, my dear friend Eve Royffe, the silver haired beauty in the picture, was diagnosed with breast cancer and a rare autoimmune disease, SSGS, which is attacking her kidneys. She had a double mastectomy and chemotherapy, after which she had a reconstruction with implants that she did not know would be toxic.

Two years after cancer treatment, she lost her job and has been struggling ever since. She is now on Social Security disability. She had to take the disability before reaching retirement age, therefore does not receive much to support herself.

She needs a specialized surgery to remove the implants and clear out any scar tissue, pathogens and possible leakage. Unfortunately, this is a specialized surgery that not every plastic surgeon has expertise in performing.

Eve's kidney function is less than 1/3  so it is critical that she has the surgery as soon as possible before her kidneys are further impaired. Additionally, the implants may be exacerbating her autoimmune condition.

Unfortunately, there has been a lapse in Eve's Medicare, so she is without insurance.

The funds from this account will go to pay for Eve;s surgery, labs, preop tests, and because of Eve's condition, a likely hospital stay.

Eve has dealt with both cancer and kidney disease. If you or a loved one has dealt with either, you understand how devastating this can be.

The situation is urgent and your compassion and generosity would be greatly appreciated.
