<div>On Monday September 29th, Eve was admitted to ICU for an infection.  She had just returned from her "Life Trip" celebration cruise to pause and reflect on what God did so many years ago when He sustained her life. (See her story below).  Upon her arrival back in Oklahoma, she started running a high grade temperature &amp; her blood pressure crashed.  She was rushed to the ER and the doctors have told her and Vanessa that she needs to have surgery, which will require her to be off for 4-weeks.

<div>As you might imagine, this is a huge stress on both Eve &amp; Vanessa, as they depend on the supplemental income of Sugga Shack, in conjunctions with Eve's job at MemberHaven Insurance; however, with Eve in ICU &amp; Vanessa being her caregiver this means funds will be very tight.

<div>So, this campaign is to help offset their monthly bills and medical expenses due to this emergency surgery, which will Eve to focus on healing!

<div>Hi friends… I think it’s time we got real. ✨

<div>Most of you know me as the girl behind the cakes and cookies but today, I want you to know me.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My name is Eve, and what you see today as my bakery began as a tiny side hustle, to buy myself a new wheelchair. Because here’s the truth if you know anything about wheelchairs, you know they can cost as much as some cars.

</div>

</div>

<div>But my story starts long before that.

</div>

</div>

<div>When I was 14, I lied to my mom for the first time. I stayed somewhere I shouldn’t have been, with people I’d been told not to go with. The next day, right before heading home, someone asked me to hop on the back of a four-wheeler for “just a quick ride.”

</div>

</div>

<div>The driver jumped off, causing the four wheeler to wreck… I didn’t have that choice. I was driven off the side of a large embankment, rolled over and over as the four-wheeler crushed me again and again before it landed on top of me. I was left unconscious in the dirt, spine crushed, ribs broken, lungs filling with blood, my face unrecognizable from gashes and gravel.

<div>I was dropped off at a hospital. As the nurses were cutting off my clothes, my mom walked in  having no idea what had happened. I was med-flighted out and died on the way to the bigger hospital.

</div>

<div>But by the grace of God...I was brought back.

</div>

</div>

<div>The doctors placed me in a medically induced coma. My family was told I might never wake up. and if I did, I may never be the same. I could live the rest of my life in a vegetative state. God had other plans.

</div>

<div>When I woke up, I had no idea what life would look like for me. I’ve faced more surgeries than I can count, more obstacles than I could have imagined, and more moments of uncertainty than I can put into words. Even though it’s been hard learning how to do literally everything again I wouldn’t go back and change a single thing, because it’s made me who I am today. Its made me grateful for every single second I have.

<div>People have told me my wheelchair is an obstacle, that I “would’ve had so much going for me” if this hadn’t happened. But here’s the thing, my wheelchair is not my obstacle. My obstacles have been turned into my testimony. And God has led me through every single one of them.

<div>Life has thrown so many hits, from my best friend passing away &amp; then my dad a few months later. Clinging to what I had left was all that I could do. This was never the plan I had in mind for my life, but there will forever be beauty in thriving from the things you thought would be the end.

</div>

<div>What started as a side hustle to pay for a new wheelchair has grown into one of my greatest blessings, a business I built with my own two hands, side-by-side with my mom (the best person I know). And every time you trust me with your birthday cake, your wedding cake, your celebration cookies you’re trusting me with a piece of your story, and I don’t take that lightly.

<div>So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for supporting my dream, for being part of this journey, and for proving that no matter what life looks like… beauty can rise from the ashes.

<div>If you take anything from my story, I hope it’s this: Never count yourself out. It doesn’t matter how many people tell you “you can’t” or how big the mountain in front of you is, if God made a way for me, He can make a way for you too.

<div>edited to add - I didn’t think I would need to address this but after some of the messages I have gotten, I clearly do. I in no way want anyone to hate the person who was driving the four wheeler, yes it was horrific finding out I was left there dying and knowing that if my bf at the time hadn’t found me when he did, I wouldn't be here right now. If he wouldn't have come running and searching for me, no one would have. However, I take full responsibility for lying to my mom and climbing on the back of that four wheeler. I will always take full accountability for choosing to go, and I will live everyday with the consequences.
