Evan has been given the opportunity of a lifetime and we need help to make his dreams come true. The National Ballet School of Canada recruited Evan from his local studio to attend the summer program in Toronto in July. Usually students have to audition to get one of 175 spots in the summer school, but after seeing him dance, they asked him to join them. The four-week summer program is basically the audition to attend the school full-time the following school year. It's competitive and difficult, and only 50 children get accepted each year. While there are scholarships available for the tuition for the full time program, there is no financial assistance for the summer program.
Evan, aged 12, has only been dancing for about a year. We've been told that he has an amazing amount of natural talent that if refined, could take him far in the dance world. More importantly, he loves it. More than anything. Since he was little, he has fought off bullies who picked on him for his love of dance, but he would never let that stop him! We are so proud of him and the man he's becoming.
Having just relocated to Niagara from Alberta, we are still recovering financially and need help to make his dream come true.
Tuition for the summer program is close to $5,000 but he will require new dancewear and accomodation money while he's there. Classes begin July 2018, but tuition is due May 1.
Thank you in advance for your contribution and for sharing Evan's story. We truly appreciate anything you can do to help. Even if it’s just a share. ❤️
