On September 26th I will be headed to Boston, Massachusetts to begin my 6 month journey with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). YWAM, is "a global movement of Christians dedicated to knowing God and making Him known." Over this last year God has continually kept the idea of YWAM in front of me, urging me to answer the call. I'm at peace with my decision to take a gap-year to do YWAM and am so excited to see what God has for me in these coming months!
YWAM Boston's Creative Arts in Worship Discipleship Training School (CAW DTS) is 6 months long and split into two phases: Lecture and Outreach. Lecture phase costs $4200 and Outreach phase costs $3800, all of which I will continue to raise during my time in Boston. Outreach phase will consist an East Coast tour and a trip abroad to a destination yet to be determined. Along with the costs from the two phases of the DTS, I'll need additional funds for living expenses, plane tickets, and public transportation while in Boston.
Whether you are lead to pray, give financially, or both, I appreciate any and all support. No amount of prayer or funds is too big or too small and I trust that the Spirit’s prompting will guide you in your decisions.
An added benefit of participating in YWAM is that I'll be earning college credit through their University of the Nations. However, this does mean your donations are not tax deductible.
