Evan Quidley's Funeral Fund

Donation protected
Evan M. Quidley, 4,  was granted his angel wings on October 8, 2017, following a lifelong illness. His days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Evan had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Evan's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he only spoke a few words, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. His love for music was what he loved most about his church.

He was born at only 25 weeks old and at only a pound and a half. He suffered a significant brain bleed on both sides. The swelling on his brain caused the damage, having a stent put in. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and his vision was impaired. Although Evan’s illness made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges.

With Evan's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him everyday, especially his sweet smile. He will forever remain in our hearts.

We are raising funds to pay for his funeral expenses as he has been living in a home in Wilson,NC with his caretakers. His family would like his remains to be in the family graveyard in Buxton, NC, next to his grandfather.

Evan leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life. He will be dearly missed by all his special caregivers at the The Howell Center. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Evan with love and dignity in his life and also in his death.
