Evan Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

Tax deductible
This Scholarship Fund for welding students at Shelton State Community College is to honor the life, friendship and legacy of Evan Jacob Mitchell (11/19/96 - 10/5/18).

Evan passed away unexpectedly in an accident on October 5, 2018. Evan was always happy, willing to lend a hand, and never said a bad word about anyone. He had a positive outlook on life, an awesome smile and laugh - and always a twinkle in his eye. He was a great friend to many and loved spending time camping, boating on the lake, hunting and fishing.

After graduating from Tuscaloosa County High School (AL) in 2015, he  completed the welding program at Shelton State Community College. Evan was recommended for an internship by the faculty who described him as "one of the best students we have ever had." He was working full time at Shirley Fabrication at the time of his death.

Please donate from the heart to establish this endowed, perpetual scholarship in Evan's honor. This will help cover the cost of tuition and supplies for a student in need.
