Like many of you, I’ve been very frustrated trying to figure out how to ease some of Eva’s pain and the many “inconveniences” resulting from her ovarian cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
As you know, Eva is a trooper. She’s moving forward with her chemo treatments (started on May 12, 2017) with the determination and positive attitude we would expect from her.
However, as you can imagine, she has her rough moments, physical and mental, which she is navigating as smoothly as possible, while maintaining the high standards of motherhood she’s embraced since her daughter, Bella, became the joy of her life.
Eva plans to continue working at Delta Dental in Okemos, on a part-time basis, throughout her treatments over the next 6 months.
Because she’s already depleted her paid time off there, I’ve decided to start this GoFundMe program for her and Bella. Eva has enough on her plate without having to worry about money issues while she’s boldly facing her current challenges.
I propose that, collectively, we set an initial goal of raising $15,000 for Eva…a goal I suspect we will substantially exceed.
This GoFundMe account is linked to Eva’s bank account so she will have direct access to the funds.
Please visit this site often to follow how well we’re progressing toward reaching our goal for Eva and Bella.
I’ll also update it on a regular basis to share Eva’s progress.
