My mother's wish was to have her ashes spread at Newport Beach, where she had many happy memories of spending a day in the sun and surf with her children.
I would like to create a beautiful memorial service for mom, with the family and friends she loved and who loved her present to remember the amazing person she was and all the ways she touched our lives. I am humbly asking for your support in an effort to give mom the send off she deserves.
Courtesy of Paradiso Charters, family and close friends (46 people max) will be taken on a two-hour charter approxiamtely one mile off shore. A ceremony will be conducted, either by the family or by the Captain. A rose is given to each attendee to scatter during the ceremony.
I believe this will be a lovely and peaceful way to say our goodbyes and remember mom and the wonderful life she led.
Please note: I do not have a date scheduled, as I need at least 50% ($675) of the amount due to reserve the date. The date will depend on how long it takes to collect all of the funds. I am hoping for date sometime this summer.
Coffee and soft drinks are also provided. Parking is included.
