I've been working tirelessly to organize a European Audition tour and to much success! Now, I'm asking for your sponsorship. This fall, I have been invited to sing for European management companies all across Europe in cities such as; Paris, Vienna, Dusseldorf, Berlin and Brussels.

My name is Christopher F. Dunham. I’m a Canadian opera singer, amateur chef, and moustache growing French language enthusiast. I’m undertaking an audition tour this fall in Europe and I am requesting your sponsorship.
I have worked tirelessly for the past few months to organize and plan an audition tour in Europe which has been met with great success.
Traveling across the ocean and establishing a successful network of artistic connections, contract offers and management is a magnificent undertaking. One, I take incredibly seriously.
Combined with the support of experienced and celebrated mentors, statistical information and personal experience, and your generous contributions, I have every confidence that this audition tour will be a success.
Tour Needs & What You Get
I am aiming to make $10,000 CDN. This funding will be divided between two stages of the audition tour; Preparation and the Tour itself.
Preparation:

Travel from Canada to Europe (Paris or Luxembourg) and Return Trip

*All venues and repertoire subject to flexibility and change within reason. Redeemable within 18 months of purchase. Travel distances more than five hundred km. must be discussed and agreed upon by both parties.
** Special guest appearance not limited to vocal performance. Expected performance not to exceed 10 min., travel and accommodation to be agreed upon for more than five hundred km. e.g.; Singing national anthem, opening ceremonies vocalist, special guest speech or presentation.

This is an incredible risk for me to take. That being said, all my commitments to contributors will be met regardless of the success of my own project.
If I do not reach my campaign goal but still am able to receive a portion of the contributions, it will be added to other funding and personal investments to fund a more concise audition tour.

The impact of your contributions and support will be felt in the duration and multitude of auditions. By which I mean, ideally I will be able to audition for all of the opportunities I have organized currently and will be able to take advantage of whichever new opportunities present themselves while I am in Europe. Your contributions ensure I am able to cast as large a net as possible to achieve, in a statistical sense, the success presented in the chart below:

My Project is valuable because it will be successful. I will share with you, my audience, every moment of the joys and pains that his career has to offer. Including information such as the graph presented above I plan to document most of the details of my project which I will share with my contributors and other young artists, to serve as an example of what can be accomplished and how it was accomplished. This includes the failures. Without learning from the wisdom of failures how can we ever expect to be successful.
Risks & Challenges
The largest risk I'm about to undertake is that I am building connections and making commitments and if I cannot raise enough money then I would jeopardize that and all the hard work that has gone into it.
My personal challenges include things such as: Keeping costs as low as possible to maximize the time and effort I can put into singing as many successful auditions as possible. Cancellations are a real possibility with the ever changing schedule of arts organizations world wide. The longer I can stay in Europe for this tour, the easier it will be to offer some flexability to those I am auditioning for. Making sure that while I am away and gone my bills and commitments in Canada are still being met.
Why am I qualified and how will I over come these Challenges?
At each major chapter of my career I have proven myself capable, willing to learn and grow and presenting of a high calibre performance. First in young artist residencies and then several times after as I began to take the main stage as an artist. These experiences have prepared me to undertake this monumental task of opening up to the European market in such a dramatic way.
My plan for solving these challenges.
Applying in my fullest to Canada Arts Council Grants for Travel and other Residency Grants
Holding a Benefit Concert in Montreal with musicological guests to raise funds for the tour and using it as an opportunity to practice some of the repertoire I will be using in Europe. *Private message me for more details.
I’m not familiar with Europe and plan though I will, we all know that plans must be flexible if they are to be successful. For example: Travel cancellations or delays, health and medical emergencies, and the myriad of problems that can’t be predicted. Your contributions ensure that in any circumstance, I will have the resources to travel there and return home successfully and safely.
I plan to leave no detail unaccounted for to reduce costs. Maintaining a strict budget and allowing a little financial buffer in order for some flexibility will ensure that most of the challenges I have presented will be overcome, perhaps with a little bit of grace as well.
