<div>Last year, my brother and I were rescued by the RNLI after getting caught in a dangerous rip current off Longsands Beach, Tynemouth. The RNLI volunteers saved our lives. This service is run predominantly by volunteers and funded by donations.
</div>
<div>So this May we're giving something back. We're taking on the RNLI Mayday Challenge but instead of a mile a day, we'll both run a half marathon every day in May.
