Etta Mimi Salome Fund

Etta Margaret Salome joined the Salome family by making her debut on March 19, 2018, 16 weeks premature at Lakes Region General Hospital . Within her first few hours of life Etta experienced quite a lot, including helicopter medical transport from LRGH to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) where she is in the region’s best & most talented medical team of doctors and nurses who help watch and monitor her as she grows.

Etta Margaret has been named after her paternal great grandmother Etta Swanson and her maternal great grandmother Dorothy Margaret “Mimi” Keller. Our entire family knows she has the fighting spirit of her great grandmothers and her entire family and community has been supporting her. Etta’s parents, Luke and Kaitlyn, were both very close with their grandmothers and named Etta Margaret in honor of them both.

For the next several months Luke and Kate will be focusing all their love and attention on Etta and spending nearly all their time at DHMC. There has been a huge outreach from their community. With that thought it mind, we want to help raise some money to support them during this difficult and challenging time. All the donations will go directly to Luke and Kate to support Etta and themselves. Luke and Kate will be spending a lot of time away from their home in Laconia, NH and thus be away from their home and work. Any donated money will help Luke and Kate with any upcoming medical bills, mortgage payments, lost income from missed time at work, and any other types of bills and expense they have while they spend time with Etta at DHMC. Our family thought this would be the best and easiest way for our amazing community here in NH and beyond to support Kate, Luke, and Etta during this time.

One other important fundraising note. The first $15,000 in donations will be MATCHED by Etta Margaret's Great Aunt Karole and Great Uncle Ken! For all those that donated earlier, rest assured you are already a part of that match.

 - Original fundraising goal of $30,000 has been met in less than 48 hours! Thus, I am raising the bar! As posted in the update section Etta has a long journey ahead. Yet, should the family not end up needing all of this amazing support we will be donating the remaining to another family with a similar story.
