Ethiopian Orphanage Fund

Donation protected

On August 3, 2017, Jeremy and I flew to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to meet our son Abel for the first time.  He is almost three years old, healthy and happy.

Overwhelmed by the hospitality and loving care of my child's care home, we were compelled to give to an orphanage in Addis Ababa that is less fortunate and over-crowed with children. This orphanage is state run and in need of clothes, toys and food. A huge percentage of these children may never be adopted and face true hardship now, and as they grow older.

We will be returning Aug, 26, accompanied by my brother Mark Zeleznock, childhood friend, Ingrid Bennett and her step-daughter Brittanny Schillinger. While in Addis Ababa, we will be purchasing the necessary items to help comfort and care for children in the orphanage.

We are working with a local, American born, Ethiopian contact, who will be helping us navigate this mission. Please know this is an immediate act of love to respond to the needs of the children now. Post return, we will be researching and working with a well established fund to provide on going assistance. This immediate giving is not tax exempt. As we move forward to establishing a reputable fund, tax exemptions will be established. Please know even the tiniest of donations ($10) stretches a long way.

We thank you for your generosity and well wishes. Look for future pictures and videos so you can see your giving in action!

Sincerely,
The Malson Family
