Rare Lung Disease

Hello. I wanted to tell you a little bit about my baby. He was born 2 months early and has struggled since he was born with sickness and surgery to wear we almost lost him more than once. He just turned 1 years old and we finally got some answers as to why he keeps getting so sick. He recently got diagnosed with a rare lung disease called Bronchiolitis Obliterans. This is something he will live with his whole life and have to have treatment for his whole life as well. Now navigating what to do and who to turn to is what we're doing now. One of the treatments for this is a medical vest that will help get mucus out of his lungs so that bacteria can't stick to it and he can't get sick as easy. As it is very dangerous for him to get sick. As this disease might lead to a lung transplant. Right now he has about 5% damage to his lungs so they are trying to prevent anymore damage from being done. Now even after insurance the cost of the vest is alot. $7100. This is also not the only vest he will need. As he grows he will need a bigger sized one as well. I am actively seeking help and every avenue so I can get my baby the treatment he needs. The worst feeling is not being able to help your child when they need help.
