My name is Karen Fernandez.

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the story of my dearest friend. I've had the privilege of knowing Ethel Joy for 13 years since we met in College here in the United Kingdom. She became more than just a friend, she was like a big sister to me.

Ethel, the kindest soul I've ever known, bravely faced breast cancer in 2015. Through some intervention she managed to overcome it Unfortunately, cancer relapsed in 2021 and sadly passed away on the 11th of January 2024. Ethel's last wish was to lay her to rest in the Philippines, her homeland.

I am humbly seeking your support for the funeral repatriation, as the family is facing significant financial challenges. Your generosity in

helping us honour Ethel Joy's wish and provide her with a dignified farewell is immensely appreciated.
