Ethan hit and run medical expenses

This is a request for my grandson Ethan Thomas.  He was in the crosswalk crossing a street in Lawrence, Kansas and was hit by a car and thrown some distance.  The driver left the scene of the accident immediately.  A nurse going off duty at a nearby hospital saw him in the street and gave aid and had the ambulance there within 5 minutes.  His injuries were significant enough that once stabilized he was given a life-flight to a Kansas City hospital.  He received multiple injuries including a broken pelvis, broken tailbone, crushed upper left arm, skull trama, multiple broken teeth one with an exposed nerve.  He had serious skin abrasions on his face, chest, back, and legs due to skidding on the road.  As of this writing he has had a surgery to set bones, and a second one to insert and attach a metal plate in his upper arm.  There has been monitoring of his head injury as he also has Aspergers and it is unknown what affect this might have on him.  

His mother, my daughter, is a single mom with two children and she is an hourly wage employee without benefits.  She is a caring and giving mom who is stretched to the max emotionally, physically, and financially.  I've created this site to help with my grandson's medical and dental bills.
