Ethan Broussard’s Eye Recovery

Hello everyone, my name is Eric Broussard. Three days ago I received news about my brother Ethan having a bad accident the night prior in his shop. For anyone who know Ethan knows this is a normal day for him, up early in the morning ready to get started a project. He is a 22 year old self employed mechanic with a lawn care business on the side who works hard, and shows a great deal of integrity in all that he does. He doesn’t stop! He goes the extra mile when needed and never leaves a customer disappointed. On Tuesday night he was drilling with a 3/8 drill bit when it exploded and about half of an inch of this metal drill bit was launched strait into his left eye. It’s said to reach all the way to his retina. This is far more serious than imagined. When the doctors saw this for the first time they rushed him from a Crestview Florida hospital to Pensacola. This is about an 40 mile drive for an ambulance. Instantly he is rushed into surgery. Following the surgery the doctors were unable to remove the drill bit without damaging his eye completely leading to another surgery. Without a doubt we thought this one would work, however because this is such a delicate and complex surgery he still has the drill bit in his eye. He is expecting another surgery on the 20th of September. For a self employed mechanic with no insurance this can weigh a heavy burden on someone. Especially when this special someone is usually on the other side of the circumstances with a heart wondering how he can help. As easy as it is for him to lend a helping hand it is just as difficult for him to receive it. This is why I’m here to ask for the help that I know he needs. The goal asked is nothing near the cost, however it is a huge step in the right direction for his recovery. As a family we are shooting for the stars for him in expectation that the provision has already been delivered and it will continue. Thank you for reading! Thoughts and Prayers are a huge help!
