Please share this story with anyone who might be sympathetic and charitable to this young man and his family who are in need of help!
On the afternoon of Saturday, April 6th, three friends (Ethan, Jacob, and Trevor) who are 13 years of age were on their way to have fun at the local skate park in The Colony, Texas. They had nearly reached their destination and noticed a car driving aggressively toward them. The vehicle continually accelerated and drove up onto the sidewalk attempting to run the boys over. Jacob and Trevor were able to safely get out of the way, Ethan did not. As he attempted to move his body he was pinned in place by a light pole, and struck by the vehicle. He is severely injured and is hospitalized.
The driver nearly hit a fourth boy who was riding his bike and then sped nearly a half mile away from the scene with Ethan's bicycle still underneath his car. Locals from the community followed the driver and pulled over to console the boys while paramedics and police arrived. Due to their efforts the driver was apprehended. The driver was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He admitted to authorities that he did this with malicious, targeted intent.
This situation has left the three boys and their families shocked and in a confused state. Ethan's pelvis was fractured in three places and he will be in a wheelchair for a period of time while he recovers. His family will undeservingly face financial burdens as a result of this incident. Their family is our family and we are asking for your prayers and generous financial assistance if you are able to help.
