Cookies for Cops

After seeing current events in the media our daughters were heartbroken to see the recent treatment of police officers across the country.
As parents it can be difficult to explain to your children the hurt and anger caused by racism and injustice. We are trying to raise our children to be empathetic and thoughtful. We want them to know that they can stand up against racism and support people who are peacefully protesting for change. We also want them to know that they can love and support our law enforcement officers.
Our little girls decided to raised money to purchase cookies for our local police departments. They wanted to do their part to make the officers feel happy.
Within a week they raised $2500.
With these donations we were able to deliver cookies to 50 police departments in Weber, Davis, SLC and Utah Counties.
This has been a very humbling and emotional experience for our family.
We have loved getting to know our local officers and hear their personal stories of why they became officers and how much they love and care for ALL people in their communities.
We have seen that something as small as a box of cookies has a huge positive impact on our officers.
Our daughters decided that they wanted to raise more money in order to reach EVERY police department in the state of Utah.
