Kasio is a young, vibrant, beautiful young lady who was recently diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma cancer shortly after celebrating her 21st birthday in August 2014. She resides in Parkville, Maryland and is a full-time straight A college student at Stevenson University.
Kasio worked two jobs up until she started experiencing unexplained pain in her left arm. After several trips to the doctor's office and numerous tests, she was referred to a specialist who came back with the dreadful news that she now has cancer and unfortunately is aggressive.
Being a young adult and having to accept such bad news comes with a great deal of stress and very hard to cope with on a day-to-day basis. To slow the cancer down is requiring aggressive treatments and surgeries in which we all know will be very costly. Although the family has insurance, co-pays, medications, and everyday living expenses can become costly and create hardships. Needless to say, this shock has caused hurt and pain to family and friends as we watch her weep, not knowing the outcome or just how severe the treatments will render Kasio physically.
At this time we are humbly asking for any support you can offer to assist with her medical expenses and day-to-day living expenses. We do not wish to see her worry, especially if she has to stop working. Our oldest baby girl really means the world to us and I would greatly appreciate everyone's time, prayers, well-wishes, and donations. A listening ear is also appreciated.
Lastly, we were in the process of moving to another state right after she finished the last year of college, but now we have to put those plans on hold because her health is much more important to us and her family then that. We appreciate your concern and may God bless you all. Thank you so much!
