Wellness Services for QTPOC LMU Students

Purpose for Fundraising:

The purpose of this fundraiser is to initiate and establish means for queer-identifying/questioning LMU students of color to have access to mental health and care services.

A Message from our Organization:

CRIME is a student-run coalition for queers to enact service, founded upon an ethos of radical care. This organization seeks to accompany queer communities, especially queer communities of color, in their processes of healing, learning, decolonizing, and community-building as means to serve these collectives both on and off-campus.

This organization is run and founded by queer-identifying/questioning students of color and will function as a proto-service organization with an application process meant to ensure that members are well-equipped to do radical care work.

This organization is also meant to combat white saviorism, classism, racism, homo/transphobia, ableism, and sexism within spaces of service.

Our Mission:

Led by queer students of color, CRIME (Caring Radically in Marginalized Environments) enacts care for and with queer BIPOC at Loyola Marymount University and Los Angeles at large by disentangling ourselves from hierarchal, elitist, and capitalist practices and, rather, provide mutual aid through healing, learning, decolonizing, and community-building.
