"It's been a little over a week since Essie was life flighted to Sanford hospital in Sioux Falls with a brain aneurysm, thankfully I was allowed to fly with her.we were not sure really what to expect and truly scared of what might happen to her.The doctor did a procedure called coiling ro repair the bleeding aneurysm which went really well,at first essie suffered from some vision and hearing issues which have subsided somewhat and getting better everyday. It will take her awhile to get to a 100 % But expect a full or nearly full recovery. We will be on our way home Tuesday morning ,definitely looking forward to getting home. The care that essie received from the doctors nurses and staff was exceptional. They focused on getting her well and keeping both of us comfortable,so thankful we ended up here. Thank you to all of our family and friends for the many thoughts and prayers. Your phone calls, texts, flowers and we'll wishes mean more to us then you will every know. "
Dar and Essie are now home in Rapid city, and she is on the road to recovery. At this time, they are not sure when she can go back to work full time, and she is expected to continue to have bad heaches for the next few months while the brain heals. They both have not been able to work the last two weeks, and as you can guess, situations like these are not cheap! Between deductibles, traveling expenses, and just everyday life expenses, we would like to try to ease their worry a bit so that Essie can just focus on healing!
