Colchester Zoo is struggling financially. It is time to help out. The team at <a href="https://www.essexlive.news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">EssexLive</a>  understands just how much this popular attraction means to their readers and the wider community across Essex. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit earlier this year, Colchester Zoo was among thousands of businesses to feel the impact. EssexLive spoke to <a href="https://www.essexlive.news/news/essex-news/the-future-very-bleak-fight-4041600" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zoo Director Anthony Tropeano in April,</a> who revealed that the lost revenue from ticket sales could potentially see Colchester Zoo shut forever. With daily running costs of £25,000, the zoo was scraping the bottom of the barrel to meet its financial obligations. <a href="https://www.essexlive.news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">EssexLive</a>  has decided that one of Essex’s biggest attractions has been struggling for far too long and it is time to offer some support. Any generous donations through our dedicated GoFundMe page will go directly to Colchester Zoo to help them at this awful time. This money will help Colchester Zoo to pay their daily running costs, along with veterinary care bills and other unexpected expenses to ensure the park continues to deliver the highest level of care of all their animals and the upkeep of the park that they call home.
