Everything Lost in Fire
Donation protected
On Saturday, June 9, 2018, an electrical fire completely destroyed our brother Steve Totton's mobile home (and its entire contents) in rural Butler, Kentucky. Fortunately, Steve was not in the trailer at the time of the fire, for which we count our blessings.
Some of you may know that this is a property that was handed down to Steve from our dad. One of the only items found in the debris was our Dad's wedding ring. Everything else of sentimental value is gone.
An avid hunter & fisherman, Steve lost his hunting rifles, bow, fishing rods, and a freezer full of venison. A few of his tools were in a shed that wasn't damaged; he has his car, and little else.
Steve hopes to find a used mobile home to put back in place but the costs to haul away the debris, buy a used trailer, get it to the property, and make the connections will add up. Any donation you can make will help Steve recover his dad's farm and return to the place he calls home.
If you are interested in donating clothing, hunting/fishing gear, or household items, contact one of the sisters. If you know of a trailer that might be available, let us know. Steve will be staying with Paula for now. The Red Cross has helped Steve and he has been very moved by the kindness of his neighbors, family, and friends.
