Esmai’s Fund Raiser

Esmai’s Story so far…

After a hard, long, upsetting and not to mention heartbreaking week of constantly going to A&E everyday, Esmai’s Mum Chloe finally found some answers as to why little Esmai was so poorly. Chloe knew something wasn’t right, even though they had told her that Esmai is a perfectly healthy baby. Finally the hospital listened and did some further tests.

Esmai started the week off having seizures and was taken for a CT scan. The result was one that no mother & father should ever have to hear. Unfortunately, Esmai had a brain tumour, and she was blue lighted to Liverpool for further tests, and after a couple of days of tests and scans, whilst also melting the all of the medical staff’s hearts, she had to undergo surgery to try remove it. This is something no little girl should have to go through at such a tender age.

Fortunately they were able to remove the whole tumour, but further testing revealed that the tumour was cancerous. Esmai now has to undergo chemotherapy moving forward, so it’s a long road ahead for both Esmai and her whole family.

Chloe is one of our Team at the Potters Bar, and Esmai is our newest honorary addition! And we are situated in the middle of one of the most fantastic communities, that always comes together whenever the need arises.

Together, we are looking to raise some money so that Esmai can go for a well deserved holiday somewhere nice after everything she has had to endure. And if that isn’t possible, the fund will help with whatever support Esmai needs to move forward with her family, whatever that may look like.
