Escobedo Hurricane Harvey Relief

Inspiration Stage's Brianna Escobedo, Chad Muska, and Brianna's mother, Sofia, experienced devastating flood damage in their Sugar Land home as a result of Hurricane Harvey this week. Brianna Escobedo is Inspiration Stage's resident Stage Manager and Lighting Designer and she and Chad both have given countless hours to Inspiration Stage and the Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation. Our hearts at Inspiration Stage break for their devastating losses and the long journey ahead of them to return their home to normal, livable, conditions.

Flood waters damaged the Escobedos' garage, front living room, den, and front bathroom. They have already replaced sheetrock about a foot up the walls in the front half of the house. Their wood flooring is next to be removed and replaced as it is completed damaged. Mattresses, furniture, and other goods were completely destroyed throughout the affected areas. There are 8 people living in the house among flood-displaced family members and family/friends offering reconstruction support, and they are currently working around the clock to replace and repair flooded flooring, walls, furniture, and appliances. The home, like so many others in the Fort Bend County area, does not have flood insurance.

The intent of this GoFundMe effort is to aid the Escobedo family in restoring and repairing their home to livable conditions. Without flood insurance, this is an enormous out-of-pocket sum. Our initial goal is to raise $7,500 for construction materials and replacement of goods, although we acknowledge the total amount needed will be much higher.

Thank you in advance for your support of this terrific family and integral piece of our iStage family.
