Escape conflict, urgent Gaza Relief

Our story

My name is Asmaa, and I am communicating with you from Belgium, where I feel safe but my family in Gaza does not. My heart is with them. We never imagined that a day would come when we would need to ask for your support through this Gofundme to bring our family to safety and provide them with a chance at a better independence. However, the harsh and dangerous living conditions in Gaza forced us into this situation in a way that exceeded all expectations. The funds he collected will be crucial to cover the costs of crossing the border, coordination and transportation fees from Gaza to Eygpt.

Family conditions in my family

After seven months of war, we realized that we needed more than one heart to bear all this devastation and more than one set of eyes to cry and mourn without restraint. Since the war began, disasters have continually befallen us unabated.

My family and I were displaced 4 times under difficult circumstances, which were nights filled with cold, fear, and escaping death and hunger.

Every time we miraculously escape death, but we lost my older brother when the house was targeted when he was looking for any food in the house to satisfy the family’s hunger. At that time, we lost a part of us, a piece of our hearts, and my brother’s seven children became orphans without a father, and we still fear losing Other members of our family.

All these losses did not give us a chance to grieve properly or look at everything with hope.

All of these events had a physical and psychological impact on the family. My mother lost weight, my father lost his health, and was overcome with sadness.

My brothers and sisters have lost what they have lost, besides surviving various incidents during the war, others from hungry predators on the streets.

Therefore, it takes more than one heart and mind to understand and bear what happened during the war.

Our goals

Our immediate goal is to ensure the safe arrival of my family to Egypt in order to protect them from the war, and provide the care and support they need.
