It's vital that the Delaware Chiropractic Society is able to continue to fight for a strong and vibrant chiropractic profession. Delaware's small size provides for many advantages politically and for profession-wide unity, but it also means fewer members that pay dues. This threatens the DCS's ability to stay strong politically and ensure that you can practice, profit and serve as many people as possible.
Currently, there are pieces of legislation that can have a HUGE impact on your practices - it can be good or bad. One is designed to reform the auto accident (PIP) laws. Our continued participation in the process is vital or many practices will suffer - some may even have to close. With this said, I bring unfortunate news. The DCS is currently underfunded, and can't afford to pay our lobbyist. The loss of our lobbyist will have devastating consequences.
On behalf of the DCS and the future of your practices, we respectfully ask that all chiropractors make a donation of $200, the average reimbursement for a single PIP visit.
Please act and don't think somebody else will do it. We need to raise at least $10,000 and soon! This money will go fully into DCS's lobbying efforts in Dover.
Even if you are not a DCS member, this kind donation will allow us to continue to work hard and fight for you and all Delaware chiropractors every day. We appreciate any level of support you can provide.
