On December 4, 2014 Diana and Jason learned of a cancerous mass in her colon. A full body CT scan also revealed suspicious spots on her liver and lungs.
After the colectomy on December 18, Diana received the MRi results indicating that the spots on her liver were in fact still a concern, and that she would start chemotherapy in just two weeks. The diagnosis was updated to Stage 4 Cancer.
Diana was discharged from the hospital just in time December 21 to celebrate her daughter Harper's 1st birthday.
