Save Ryker

Ryker is three years old.

He is an adorable boy, full of life and with plenty of love to give. His best mates are his Mum, Indie, an American bulldog, and Bella, a 5 month old kitten. And me of course. A few years back, I lost my bull dog, Roxy to poisoning and Ryker has really helped to fill the hole that Roxy left for Indie and me. Last year a wonderful woman and her two beautiful kids came into my life. They all went through a terrible ordeal when the kids’ father left, and they have grown to love Ryker as their own. He’s helped them heal too. Especially Eva who is 8 years old. She adores him. We were all devestated to hear the news.... Ryker has Lymphoma and without chemo - has only 6 weeks to live!! It just didn’t seem real. Ryker was his usual happy and bouncy self. He just had swollen lymph nodes. The vet said it might be an infection and to bring him back if they didn’t go down. They didn’t, so we took him back for tests. The news floored me. Cancer? Ryker? But he’s still a baby! I can’t let him die. I owe it to him to give him the best chance I can. So I contacted South Paws, one of the best animal hospitals in the country. They’ve started Ryker on Chemo and after his first session, are amazed at his response to it. He has lots of energy and hasn’t had any bad side effects. A great sign according to wonderful people at South Paws! So far I have spent $4,800 on tests, medicines and his first chemo treatment, but the rest of the treatment will cost about $6,500. Money I just don’t have!!! So that’s why I’m here... to ask all the animal lovers out there to help me save my best friend. I don’t have my own kids and Ryker is my baby. I love him. So please, if you are in the position to help, even if it’s just a small amount, please help me save Ryker.
