Light Direction Mountain Challenge

To help us raise money toward our youth group, we are climbing up Ben Nevis, we need your support.
Light Direction is a youth/community organisation based in Hillfields, Bristol. I'm
Hillfields is is a forgotten area situated between Fishponds and kingswood. It has poor education scores, low employment, there is a poor crime rate particularly involving youth and the area has been scored as having very low deprivation rates.
Light direction is based at Hillfields Park Baptist church and through its programmes it aims, to reach out to the community particularly Young people. It is our belief that dispite what all the facts and figures say, that despite the circumstances that surround them and the low expectation hanging over them, that young people can achieve anything they put their mind too and it is our hope that we can help them to get there.
The programmes that we run are a football team, reaching over 20 young men over 16 years old. A kids club, which reaches up to 30 children and their parents a week. A youth club, which provides a youth facility for local young people over 11, we have a membership over over 40 young people attend these evenings. As well as weekly programmes we also organise day trips, holidays, camps, weekends away and an annual fundraising event hiking up mountains. We do all this using a great team of over 15 volunteers and a part paid youth worker and we do it because we believe that all things are possible and that young people deserve the chance to live an amazing life.
It cost us almost £20,000 a year to run Light direction and although we do get some income, the running of light direction can only continue if we receive trust funding and do fundraising amounting to about £7000 a year, so your gifts of support no matter how small are important.

Mountain challenge: £3000 (may 2015)
Streetlights 2015: £1300 (August 2015)
Youth club equipment: £1500
Football costs: £1200
