Hello, friend. So I usually am not the best when it comes to asking for help and truthfully struggle to do so, even at the best of times, and espeically if it is money related. However today I’m asking for help. I am stepping out in faith like Gideon and I want to lay out a fleece before God by making a way/opportunity for God to provide.
I am asking all of my friends and believers in me and what I do for help with an important financial need. For those of you who know me well enough, you will know that this year has been a tough one with my health. (Sorry if this following story bores you with details etc but I just wanted everyone to know the background story/where I’m coming from throughout this year)
In January I encountered some pretty crazy painful symptoms in my mid abdominal area that included constant vomiting and intense pain that seemed to get worse as time went on. Between January and May this year I have unintentionally lost around 4 Stone in weight because of this (Yes, for some strange reason the Irish decided to weigh themselves in stones lol… That is roughly 56 Pounds for Canadians…eh)
I have never been a fan of the idea of going to the doctors or to the hospital for that matter, even in the best of scenarios. But, in January I knew I had to take myself to the hospital Emergency Department in Cold Lake to see what was going on with me. Because I am not a Canadian Citizen yet I have to pay for everything myself when it comes to healthcare, and I’m sure you are aware that can get pretty pricey (which was another reason I consistently tried to put off making a visit to the hospital.) The doctor there strongly suspected I had a pretty severe stomach ulcer and started to treat me for that. Since then things started to go pretty downhill and the symptoms and pain seemed to intensify right through until July.
I had been Trying to deal with all of this whilst also trying navigate a bunch of new life transitions with both Job and Church. This made for a pretty hectic and stressful time which the doctor in turn said might also contribute to the symptoms coming from the ulcer. My focus and goal in April, May and June this year was to faithfully wrap up and finish strong with Ministry at CLCC as my time/contract with the Church was coming to an end. By the strength and grace of God I feel like I done that and left things In a good place for the next person to take over my work at the Church. As sad and stressful as this whole process was, I have totally seen God move in incredible ways, even in my own character and relationship with Christ. I was so grateful and blessed by the response of the leadership and also all my Christian brothers and Sisters at church who went over and above any expectation to help me through that tough time of transition. Without them I could not have gotten through it.
Since then God has been so incredibly faithful and he has led me to Continue with ministry in the area at Bonnyville, at Lakeview Gospel Centre as Worship and Youth Leader starting in September.
I was and am so excited about this and could not wait to start over and get hands on with the opportunity and task God had put me to.
Looking ahead, My agenda was to take July off, go home, recoup, see my family and reconnect with everyone, get better and come right back in August at full health and begin to plan for the incredible next season of ministry starting in September.
Sadly July ended up being a month where my health appeared to take a bit of turn and all of my symptoms and pain appeared to worsen, get better, worsen and repeat. Thankfully with being home I could see my own doctor and have all the testing and treatment I needed so badly, and mostly FREE, Yeyy! I had so many needles, treatments, scans done to get to the bottom of what was happening and it felt like i had moved into my doctors office. The downside with our health service in the UK is that, it is so backlogged and getting treatment can take forever. I managed to have biopsies done with various scope tests of which I was still awaiting results. The next stage after that Is to get the full body scan done. Which is booked and am patiently waiting a date for.
So July 31 came, and i made the decision to fly back to Canada and believe that God had all of this crazy health stuff under control and that he would work it all for his Good. Sadly, I was only back 5 days to Canada when I experienced some incredibly sharp and concerning stabbing pains in the location of my Gallbladder and Liver area and this got worse and worse as the evening went on. The vomiting and pain got so strong that I ended up fainting in my apartment by myself and it was then I decided to give in and knew I needed to get myself to a hospital. As I said, healthcare in Canada is crazy expensive for me to even be seen at Emergency, so I made the decision to get the next available flight home which was the next day. (a matter of hours) This was never the ideal situation but I knew from the severity of the pain that it could be something more major, so being admitted to hospital in Canada was just something I knew I physically could never afford.
After landing in Ireland the next day my parents drove me straight to the Emerge at the hospital where I waited 8hrs in agony to be admitted for treatment. I Had various blood tests done and they showed a few different concerns regarding the liver. The results of the biopsies of the stomach had also came in and showed two major ulcers in the stomach that would contribute to the intense pain being where it was. Still they couldn’t really give me any straight answers to what was going on, but with the major amount of weight loss since January, the vomiting and the pains they knew something else was definitely going on.
I managed to get booked into a local private hospital and paid to have an ultrasound test done, of which I am still to have the results for. Being home right now is tough because I am so wanting to get going with the new Job and am so eager to get started but am in a place of much frustration because I cannot get any answers as to what is going with my health. So my prayer is that God would reveal what is needed to the doctors so I can get over this as quickly as possible and get on with the task at hand!
Having to book those flights and pay for an urgent scan was a totally unforeseen circumstance and I am believing that God will help meet that financial need. The total amount I need to cover is $1400.

I am just so thankful that I managed to get home in time and safely to have my family around me and look after me as i walk out this process of getting to the bottom of whatever this sickness is.
All I am asking from those who read this, is to prayfully consider helping me with this financial need. (Any amount would really help) If you have received this message it is because you have been there for me at one point in my journey and I truly value you as someone in my life who has believed in me and has bought into what I am about. For that I am so forever thankful, and if you can help out in any way possible I would be so grateful. Above all I am asking you to believe with me, and stand beside me, wherever you are right now, and really believe that we can stand on the promises of Gods word. That he heals, he restores and he provides for us.

Pray they will have the exact knowledge needed to try whatever treatment to properly diagnose the illness
. Pray for timing
I am believing in Gods perfect timing, to be fully healthy to return to Canada asap to continue ministry in Bonnyville.
Pray that I can get my Full body scan test moved forward on the waiting list
Pray I can return back to Canada as quickly as possible. IN FULL HEALTH
. Pray for healing
Whatever way God wants to do this. If its instant, miraculous or if its through treatment. And that the doctors START with the correct form of treatment, instead of trial and error.
. Pray for energy
With constantly being sick and not being able to keep food down, energy levels are consistently low. Pray God will impart enough nutrition in me to defeat whatever illness in the body
. Pray for the finance
Finance to help cover the additional flight to come back home and the private scans done in order to speed up the process of diagnosis.
.Pray for clarity and focus
While I am sitting around sick, I am believing and praying hard for Lakeview Gospel, the new worship teams I will be working with, the new Youth Ministry that will be established. Clarity to hear what it is God wants for these people and that I don’t miss that while my focus may be on other things
