Support Bethany Stewart

As some of you know, my younger sister, Bethany Stewart was diagnosed with stage 3 Kidney Disease two years ago when she was 24 years old. She has had a round of dialysis and continues with frequent scans to monitor their function and the progression of the disease. In her last scan about a month ago the doctors discovered a mass on her stomach. Biopsy came back and she was diagnosed with stage one cancer. It is a gastrointestinal carcinoid tumor. She was scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor on August 22nd, but a week before surgery she came down with a severe kidney infection which put her out of work for a week. Because of the kidney disease her kidneys are already weak, and the cancer is very taxing on her immune system. He surgery was postponed until she recovered because the doctors said it would be too dangerous to operate with such a severe infection. On September 8th she went into surgery and had the tumor removed. She is now recovering and awaiting a treatment plan. Because radiation is very intense on the kidneys they are trying to evaluate her function to see if she will be able to withstand the treatment, otherwise chemotherapy will be needed. She has been out of work a lot because of all of this, and is still required to be out for at least another two weeks, if not longer depending on how well she heals and the treatment plan.

 Bethany is the most kind, selfless person to everyone she meets. The best "Uncle Betty" to her nieces, and an amazing sister and friend. She has struggled with the medical bills because of the kidney disease, and now she is encuring even more with surgery and upcoming treatments. This is my plea to you, because she would never ask for anything from anyone herself, if you find it in your heart to help her and her husband out with the ever growing bills, and relieve just a bit of the stress from what she is going through.
