Hello folks! In January 2017 my liver failed unexpectedly.  I was quickly diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease with cirrhosis.  In September 2017 I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis which is a rare autoimmune muscle and skin disease.  I currently receive ivig infusions monthly among numerous other medications.  I have battled autoimmune issues since I was 21, but was stable up until January 2017.  Many unexpected changes lie ahead for myself and my family.  After working as a full time Special Education teacher for the last 15 years then suddenly not being able to work has truly been devestating both emotionally and financially.  I appreciate all of the support my family has received and continues to receive. This is my story...let the healing begin!
