<div>my name is Erin, and I’m moving to the West Coast from NY to better my safety, mental health and life. That’s why I created this go fund me.

<div>I’m reaching out for some help further- as I cannot do this alone fiscally. The jump is LONG and there’s not a shortcut.

<div>Starting November 1st (today) have a little under 35 days to leave my current place. I didn’t want it to be so close and soon, but life loves to throw curveballs. It’s also my birthday early this month. What better gift to be able to give then a renewed second chance starting over in life?

<div>It’s one of the scariest things I’ll be doing as I’ve lived in one same general area for the whole 40 years of my life, and I’m having to do it solo- on a -VERY- shoe string budget.
</div>
<div>This is not going to be an easy move, but what cross country ones are? Thankfully I have an amazing person in my life that agreed to help shuttle my car and belongings out there ahead for me. But my car also needs some repairs before it can make that journey.

<div>There’s breakdown costs of parts involved included as I wish to be transparent as possible:

<ul>
<li><strong>Work needed on my vehicle </strong>before it can make the leap. (Wheel bearing that needs repair before that long drive, rotors and brakes front/back) <strong><em>(approx: $600</em></strong>)
</li>
<li><strong>The cost of fuel</strong> and any budget lodging to make the to make the drive. <strong><em>(approx: $600-700)</em></strong> on basic grade with current gas prices/average withstanding.)
</li>
<li><strong>The price of a small trailer</strong> for my bed and larger belongings. <strong><em>(approx: $700-800)</em></strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Veterinary medical clearance for my cats. </strong>My cats will be flying one way with me out there. (My stuff is being moved separately, as a quick flight is less stress on my animals vs a 4-5 day drive.) I will need sedatives for my 2 cats, and one’s updated shots <strong>(approx. $300-400)</strong>

<div>Ideally anything above that I would like to add the funds for an extra months security fallback while I look for (more stable) local full time employment, OR any other various cost-of-living startups, such as food and any supplies etc should I meet that goal.
