Erin Citizen Action To Stop Sewage Treatment Plant

Donation protected
The Erin Citizen Action Committee was recently formed to establish a cohesive working group of volunteers and residents to stop the building of a sewage treatment plant set to dump 7.1 million litres of effluent into the West Credit River, daily.

As it is the proposed rapid expansion of high-density housing that is pushing for this entirely inappropriate and ill-considered plant, we are asking for a stop work order on the plant, to allow time to re-evaluate growth strategies for Erin that will retain our small town charm and relieve the taxpayers of this unnecessary burden.

There are a myriad of alternatives to a central Sewage Treatment plant, and Town Council have not tabled any of them for resident or council consideration. The lack of transparency from Town Council has uninformed residents wondering What The Flush? A huge portion of the resident population do no embrace this accelerated growth, and the individual taxpayers expenses that will accompany a Sewage Treatment Plant.  So, come join us.

Proceeds will be used for an awareness-building campaign involving signage, mailings, door-to-door campaigning, and public events planned for late spring.

It is time to ACT!
